What is a Combination (Combi) Boiler?
A combination boiler, sometimes known as a combi boiler is a boiler that provides heat for central heating and also heats water immediately when a hot tap is turned on. With a combination boiler, there are no water tanks in the loft and no water storage cylinder. The water supply to the boiler is fed from the mains.
In the UK, combination boilers have become the best selling systems for gas central heating and hot water. They are built from proven technology and are generally very reliable and durable. They are also economical due to the fact that they produce endless hot water as and when you need it.
If you current boiler is over 10 years old, you might want to consider replacing it for a combi boiler due to their increased efficiency.
